One of the things I like about Ayurveda is that it is not exclusive. If you need to take medications prescribed by your Western medical doctor, you can still do that. On the other hand, if Western medicine isn’t giving you any answers, then Ayurveda provides another way to look at things.
Speaking from personal experience, healing from a complex chronic illness takes a lot of time and patience. With Ayurveda, you can take heart, knowing that you can do things that directly support the healing of your mind, body, and spirit. With Ayurveda, you are also working to strengthen your health overall, and not just treat symptoms.
You may not even know what’s wrong with you from a Western diagnostic perspective. If you were dealing with an allopathic doctor, you might get a few pills to treat symptoms but no path forward. Ayurveda, on the other hand, can immediately pinpoint any underlying imbalance, and start to work on it using safe and natural remedies.
Ayurveda is not an instant cure (most of the time). But that’s OK. The alternative is no “cure” at all – just symptom treatment with drugs. So give Ayurveda a try!
